The Company:
Is a leading provider of independent radioactive waste management services to the UK and overseas market. They are the only company in the UK that offers depth and breadth of resource and expertise across all areas of radioactive waste management capabilities. They provide a full range of services for radioactive waste management and decommissioning (both Low Level Waste, LLW and Intermediate Level Waste, ILW).

The Role:
The Electrician will provide Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation support for installations/commissioning and maintenance of Building Systems/Operational Plant and Projects.

This will include electrical reconfigurations, fault finding and testing of electrical and electronic plant and equipment. Carry out PPM activities to set time intervals as per published job cards including PAT testing.

Ensure work is carried out to the latest IEE electrical regulations and all Health and Safety requirements.

The Electrician will work under the guidance of the Senior Authorised Person electrical.

5-10 year post apprenticeship\training experience of installations and maintenance of electrical circuits, plant and equipment and electronic circuits.

The Electrician will have working knowledge of Radiological instruments servicing, maintenance and repair would be a distinct advantage.

Knowledge of ventilation control systems and/or robotics would be advantageous

Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams

Ability to carry out minor mechanical engineering tasks

Knowledge of Method statements/Risk assessments/Maintenance Instructions

Min of 3 yrs Experience in the Nuclear industry.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Apprentice trained Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Minimum of NVQ 3 Electrical\Electronic engineering (Preferably HNC level4/5 +)
Min IEE 16th edition certified (Preferably IEE 17th edition)
