Our Client is an award winning UK ports business offering end to end supply chain solutions. They have headquarters in North East England and operate at many key UK ports and logistics centres with a growing European presence.
Electrician required to work on lighting towers, 3 phase and single phase control system on cranes, powered doors, conveyors, powder handling systems, packing plants, inverter controls.
Testing of site emergency lighting systems and repairs as required, testing site fire alarms systems and repairs,
Must be willing to work on any of the sites across the Humber region and be flexible should a call out be required.
HV training is not a requirement but should this ever be needed then training will be given, the role would be working in a cross discipline department and therefore you would be expected to work on mechanical and vice versa, within training and competency capabilities.
Standard working hours would be 40 Hrs per week, competitive salary, 25 days holiday + stats, overtime @ x1.5 for all hours over 40.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualified to 16th Edition.
Educated to GCSE standard.
ONC in Electrical Engineering.
High Voltage Training (as required).
PLC Siemans S5, S7.
Three years Electrical experience.
Able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
Able to prioritise tasks and activities.
Knowledge of PAT Testing Regulations, Inspection and Testing of Electrical Systems Regulations, fully authorised for High Voltage Switching (as appropriate) and be able to read schematics and electrical systems drawings.
The post requires a high level of decision making based on job knowledge.
Every breakdown or failure is a potential problem, therefore a high degree of problem solving ability is a pre-requisite of the post.
This role relies heavily on teamwork to ensure that all planned tasks are completed effectively in a safe manner on time and within budget.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Two years Port Industry experience.
