The Role:
• Experience in evaluating and developing the design of high reliability control systems to meet client specifications while providing solutions to engineering challenges in all stages of a project from conceptual stage through to FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing).

• Ability to help the Electronic /Electrical group implement enhanced/non-standard system testing, engineering changes, process/product development, improvement of procedural documentation and NPI (New Product Introduction).

• Experience of supporting projects, meeting key milestones, objectives and time-scales while ensuring internal/external stakeholders obtain services that are ‘right first time’ and of an overall expected quality level.

• Ability to ensure performance, quality and reliability targets for the products and systems are met or exceeded while concurrently ensuring they possess all required functionality and operate as per approved design.

• Team worker who is able to ensure all work carried out is performed within schedule and that documentation and quality systems are adhered to.

• Ability to develop and deploy Electrical/Electronic control systems in a SIL (Safety Integrity Level) system conforming to IEC 61508

• Assist the Senior Engineer, Lead Engineer and Principal Engineer and/or Line Manager improve overall quality awareness, processes and systems in use within the company.

• Ability to ensure scope of work in job is fully understood prior to proceeding and pushing allocated MDL tasks to completion within agreed time-scales.

• Experience of Electronic/Electrical assemblies & systems conforming to IPC-610/620 (or other international standards) with the qualification of new processes, methods and technologies.

• Monitoring areas of work allocated to self while able to report current status of workload and estimate time to complete. Ability to escalate issues in a timely manner to Senior Engineer, Lead Engineer, Principal Engineer and/or Line Manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree or HND with relevant industry experience.
• Knowledge of Electrical CAD.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and SAP.
• Ability to design & implement electronic/electrical testing of products and systems using LabView (or other automated test software)
• Knowledge of electronic/optoelectronic system, communications and networking with an understanding of communication protocols used within control systems
• Experience in working to ISO9001 quality standards.
• Experience in working to IPC 610 & 620.
• Experience in SIL Systems to IEC 61508.
• Proven involvement with multi-disciplined Projects.
• Relevant, demonstrable industry experience.
