The Company:
A leading Service Company are looking to hire a Electronic Technician to initially be based in the US for a 6 month period before working on a newly constructed vehicle in the Netherlands.

The Role:
Job Function

Responsible for the care and maintenance of the electronic systems and calibration
and repair of the process monitoring and control equipment.

Key Areas

1. Inspect, test, calibrate and maintain all electrical/electronic components and systems
for proper operating condition onboard the vessel and at the port facility.
2. Operate or install any electronic equipment as required.
3. Train selected Stimulation and Maritime crew to maintain/operate same equipment.
4. Set up and maintain an approved spare parts inventory to facilitate repairs and preventative maintenance.
5. Prepare and keep all necessary records for job functions.
6. Assist Mechanic, etc as required.
7. Maintain equipment certification in accordance with BHI procedures.
8. Liaise with Blender Operator, Engineer to ensure QA of all measuring and monitoring devices satisfactory.
9. Perform to the Quality Standards set by BHI.
10. Actively ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of all fellow workers or other workers is preserved at all times.
11. Ensure full awareness of, and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant BHI/COMPANY HSE handbooks, HSE procedures and emergency procedures.
12. Any other duties as assigned by Vessel Supervisor.

Safe Working

Within area of responsibility:
1. Prevent the potential escalation of any stimulation engineering critical condition.
2. Satisfy current legislation, codes of practice and organizational requirements.
3. Deal effectively with accidents and incidents.
4. By own observation and information received; maintain health and safety systems, maintain security systems and procedures
5. Ensure all necessary records are complete accurate and legible.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience, Qualifications and Skills

1. Preferably 2+ years in last 5 years on vessels/offshore in Instrumentation Technician position.
2. Evidence of qualifications as time served Instrumentation Technician and preferably ONC, HNC or similar.
3. Hold all relevant training certificates e.g., current UKOOA medical, STCW 95, offshore survival certificate.
4. Ability to perform duties within difficult parameters and in a challenging environment in accordance with BHI QHSE systems, standard practices and statutory regulations.
5. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Intermediate (or higher) ability with MS Word / Excel preferred.
