The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
Main Purpose:

Provide technical support on and off vehicle for primarily the Car Electronics team. Working with Driver Assistance, Safety, Comfort, Powertrain and Chassis electronic control systems.

Scope of Work:

With the support of a Lead Technician manage own time to successfully deliver assigned objectives/tasks.

Customers are predominantly the Engineers and Functional Managers of the Car Electronics team.

Develop and maintain a technical expertise within the agreed domain of responsibility such that tasks can be carried out as required for the Car Electronics Engineering team. Keep abreast of new developments and innovations within the area to achieve this.

Provide status summaries for the direct customers and Lead Technician.

Carry out tasks on a daily basis within the following scope:
Vehicle/test property preparation for Engineering validation work (i.e. removal of components, fitment of data logging equipment)
Carry-out validation work on test rigs or on vehicle following test catalogues provided by the Engineer
Represent the Car Electronics team during pre-production build and workshop prototype builds to gather data for Engineering analysis, and/or solve problems
Prepare bespoke test equipment or test rigs to enable on validation
Run Engineering set-up/calibration routines on behalf of Engineers
Update Engineering vehicle fleet with latest Car Electronics hardware and software's

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications & Experience:

* Knowledge of vehicle communications networks and diagnostic protocols
* Awareness of electronic hardware and software design processes
* Capable of using development tools such as CANoe and INCA would be an advantage
* Demonstrated experience working for an automotive manufacturer or relevant supplier
* Ideally aware of Hardware in the Loop (HiL) testing methods and technology
* Appreciation of sensor and actuator technologies and the methods of interfacing such components
* Experience of working in production / workshop environments would be advantageous
* Dealership Master Technician level of experience is preferred
* Knowledge and experience of latest vehicle electronic systems
* A valid UK driving license

* A strong automotive grounding and an ability to understand and communicate electronic engineering issues
 Excellent time management, organisation and personal interface skills
 Dynamic and proactive self-sta
