The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
Our client is looking for a high quality C/C++ embedded software engineer with extensive and proven experience in networking solutions and protocols.

Responsible for all aspects of embedded software design for Recording and Control products including :-
- Design and development of embedded software using C and C++ within Real Time Operating Systems.
- Problem solving of issues with existing products especially related to communication networks.
- Produce documentation of requirements, design description, test plans and results ensuring the product and documents meet internal and external standards.
- Work with other design engineers (including global teams) together with cross functional members of new product introduction teams.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
In depth knowledge and experience of developing solutions and resolving issues with networked products and protocols (Ethernet, TCP, SMTP, DHCP, Modbus/TCP, HTML)
Proven experience in embedded software design and development using C/C++, ideally in the development of industrial products or similar.
Experience of driver and application development with RTOS, especially Windows CE.
