The Company:
Our client is one of Australia's largest exploration and production companies and a key energy provider in both the domestic and international marketplace. They have significant interests in offshore exploration, coal seam gas and renewable energy with a major commitment to safety, quality, and environmental issues.

The Role:
This is a newly created role for a globally recognised organisation offering unparalelled opportunity for personal development and career progression

As Emergency Management & Security Manager the successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager LNG HSSE and supervise a team of six personnel.

An intrinsic part of this role will be to develop Emergency Management & Security (EM&S) strategy in addition to detailed plans, scenarios and responses for all of our clients LNG Assets.

The unique challenges associated with this position include the geographical spread of the large number of operating assets, staff and contractors; extreme and unpredictable weather conditions throughout the region and the isolation from supporting emergency response infrastructure.

Further key components will include the development, implementation and maintenance of the Group Emergency Management Plan and associated processes.

This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to operate on behalf of a Leading Coal Seam Gas project Owner

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
In order to be successful in applying for this position you will possess extensive technical knowledge in areas of Emergency Management and Security including degree qualification within a relevant discipline – HSSE, Science, Engineering, Operations or Law.

There is a strong preference for extensive previous exposure working within a large industrial facility in an operational capacity , ideally in the energy and or mining sector, with 'Client Side' experience.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
You will posses demonstrable skills and abilities in implementation and ongoing management of Emergency Systems; developing and delivering learning and training materials relation to Emergency Response and Security and have managed direct reports within such an environment.

A high degree of systems literacy, incident investigation and report writing to Board Level is a further expectation.

Whilst not essential, an in-depth knowledge of hydrocarbon processing facilities and risks associated with their operation would be advantageous.
