The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
Project EP&R/Security Advisor provides support by development, coordination, and deployment of systematic processes to Emergency Preparedness and Response program and SSH deliverables as well as works with Global Security Advisor, Function Security Advisor and Site Security Contacts in the implementation of security processes for the Project.

He/she work with PT and contractors on monitoring Project EP&R/Security processes and establishing expectations. Position verifies that the project is meeting EP&R/Security objectives and SSH&E deliverables by independent assessment and report to Project Safety, Security and Health Manager. Additionally, position serves as primary project coordinator working with PT and contractors on EP&R/Security matters related to design and construction.

The following activities are primary roles and responsibilities of EPR&S Advisors, categorized by functional support area:

• Functional operations
• Risk management
• Intelligence
• Investigations
• Emergency response and preparedness

Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop Project emergency preparedness and response plan; some additional key deliverables:

• Develop project Emergency Preparedness & Response (EPR) Plan and Business Continuity Plan (BCP)
• Develop annual calendar of drills and steward to completion
• Analyze lessons learned and use to continuously improve ERP/BCP
• Establish and train EOC team members; establish liaison with ESG
• Oversee site EP&R plans
• Liaison with EPC's EP&R group
• Support project to identify, implement, and share best practices and lessons learned
• Coordinate activities with in-country SSH&E group and Functional SSH&E
• Work with project on implementing a management of change process for ERP / Systems documents
• Support and interface with safety & health related project services, e.g. contractor oversight
• Complete prequalification of SSHE systems for project contractors

Develop Security Plan, some additional key deliverables:

• Deploy security programs and processes
• Assist in the training of SSCs
• Accomplish site characterization
• Work with EPC contactors to develop security countermeasures and the Site Security Activity Plans for major construction sites
• Interface with the Functional and Global Security Advisors
• Ensure development of security upgrade plans for implementation when threat conditions escalate
• Coordinate scheduling of projects/sites Security Risk Assessments and participate in Security Risk Assessments
• Conduct review and collect interpret security metrics
• Maintain Security Work Book
• Coordinate security incident reporting and lessons learned sharing

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in an engineering, technical or military sciences discipline from an accredited university
• 10-15 years in operations / process safety systems related positions
• Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
• Persuasive with strong business perspective
• Proven ability to work independently and in project / contractor team environments
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects and tasks
• Able to work in team setting with diverse international cultures and other duties as directed
