The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their LNG mega-project in Western Canada.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

The Role:
The main responsibilities of the Emergency Response Advisor:

• Work with EM Process Advisor to ensure Kitimat LNG (KLNG) / Pacific Trails Pipeline (PTP) alignment with Canada Business Unit (CBU) Crisis Management and Emergency Management Process, plan, policies and procedures.
• To ensure that all Company activities are in accordance with applicable legislation and keep necessary parties abreast of legislative requirements
• To ensure Onsite Emergency Response Teams (KNLG/PTP) are trained to the specified CBU level
• Support training, exercises and drill conduction and follow up
• Provide Emergency Response expert advice and support.
• Ensure ERP’s and ERNAP’s are kept current for KLNG and PTP and distributed effectively
• Supervise safe emergency, evacuation and rescue services as required
• Liaison with manager and head of security with respect to security emergency issues at Kitimat LNG (KLNG) and Pacific Trail Pipeline (PTP)
• Implement mitigating measures and actions defined by Emergency Management Team Incident Commander
• Support all incident investigations as they pertain to Emergency Response
• Assist Preparing Emergency Response communication in case of an incident Ensuring safety of employees, contractors as well as members of the community at large by effective risk management
• Participate in development of Incident Management System –Carry out other tasks as instructed by immediate supervisor within assigned area of responsibility and professional qualification.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Fluent in English (written and spoken) Degree from an accredited College or University At least 20 years’ experience in Emergency Services with, at least 5 years’ experience in Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE), and at least 3 years of experience in Liquefied Natural Gas industries in a similar role
Knowledge of Hazardous Materials Spill response including oil spill containment
• Hazardous Material Technician / Specialist
• OSHA Construction Safety officer
• OSHA 511 30 Hour
• OSHA 501 Instructor
• Rope Rescue,
• Confined Space Rescue
• Vehicle Rescue,
• Water Rescue
• Trench excavation Competent Person/Rescue
