The Role:
Promote and ensure Line Managers' awareness of company and international policies, systems, procedures and standards related to Emergency response management and their correct implementation
Ensuring the ER Audit and assurance programme is agreed
Ensure effective ER communication/liaison is maintained in the organization
Plan ER audits within risk based assurance plan, ensuring scope includes Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, Policies, Procedures, Standards, Organisation, Responsibilities and Resources, Assurance and the management of Contractors and jvs
Contribute to discussions with Regulators, Agencies, Contractors on ER Audit approaches
Coordinate ER staff mentoring programme
Reviewing and advising on ER and HSE Plans, plus HSE Cases
Review and advise on clear criteria for triggering crisis management
Develop and maintain ER documentation systems, plans, procedures, standards and facilities to reflect best industry practice
Support reviews of Contractors HSE Cases, Interface documents, Safety Operations, ER plans. Undertake pre qualification and tender reviews for ER
Monitor and support the development of Drills and exercise programmes.
Conduct ER safety inspections and site visits as required
Participate in incident investigations
Lead and influence leadership teams on all aspects of ER Risk management

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Relevant Engineering degree (Biological/chemical sciences, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering degree preferred) or equivalent
Good written and spoken English
Operational experiance at management level across a diverse range of E&P activity including drilling, construction and production
Experience with the planning and implementation of Emergency Response exercises
Extensive experience working with international HSE standards, codes and practices including the country’s HSE experience.
Experience in interpreting and implementing HSE and other laws/regulations in the international oil and gas industry.
Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment and with large and diversified groups of people of different countries.
Demonstrated interpersonal/team building skills
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Broad experience in the oil industry, mainly in upstream activities
