The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
Our Client is looking for an Emergency Response Specialist to provide specialist and technical emergency advice and guidance to the Emergency Response Team for the Construction nightshift work scope.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

• Develop and write emergency response systems, procedures and programs, and take command and control of emergency situations on the project when required
• Assist with planning and ensuring project emergency response training and competency processes are implemented and maintained in accordance with the project Emergency Management System (EMS)
• Ensure the reporting and documentation of incidents / injuries are investigated and records maintained
• Maintain effective and timely communication with project emergency response and relevant stakeholders
• Manage compliance alignment with the audit and inspection program of the program and contractors

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ideally you will have the ability to demonstrate knowledge, capability and competence in the following aspects:

• The preferred candidate will have 7+ years’ experience as a senior operational fire fighter, or military fire fighter, or airport fire fighter, encompassing station officer/captain duties
• Minimum five years’ experience with heavy construction, and oil and gas or mining site based experience in emergency response. As well as experience in site based Occupational Health and Safety systems
• In this role you will be capable of effectively interacting with individuals of all levels (both internal and external) and have the ability to assess information/data and take action, including briefing to senior management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, research and analytical competences as well as excellent computer skills

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• In this role you will have a current nationally recognised qualification PUA40301 - Certificate IV in Public Safety (Firefighting Supervision), Operate breathing apparatus open circuit, Render hazardous materials incidents safe, Undertake Road Accident Rescue, Undertake Confined Space Rescue and Undertake Vertical Rescue
• A graduate certificate or diploma in Emergency Management from a recognised institution is desirable.

This position is for 12 months, working 11 hours per day on a 28/28 rotational roster.
