The Company:
Our client is a large Owner/Operator with their Canadian operations based out of Calgary, AB. They are one Canada’s largest integrated oil companies focusing on the exploration and production of oil, natural gas and sulphur. Their projects are located throughout Canada focusing on the Oil Sands, as well as Natural Gas extraction throughout Alberta and BC.

The Role:
The Emergency Response Team Lead will have the responsibility:

•Management of consistent implementation of IOL Construction Emergency Response program and process all proposed changes using the program MOC for the project.
•Construction HSE focal point for implementing Construction Emergency Response program.
•Provide technical input and subject matter expertise (SME) with respect to the Construction Emergency Response program and ensure the Construction ERP is consistently functional.
•Support the Project Teams in establishing a Construction Emergency Response team consisting of craft and functional employees based on the project.
•Establish a resourcing plan (people and equipment) to meet the Construction ERP and ensure there are day to day systems and processes to implement an effective Construction ERP.
•Participate in evaluation of Contractor site specific ERP’s and Rescue Plans (as applicable to scope of work).
•Participate with Contractors or tier Contractors in subsequent Path of Construction ERP drills to ensure compliance with Project Specific HSE Program.


Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The Emergency Response Team Lead will have previous experience:

•ERT Lead experience at construction sites
•Construction HSSE Management of large (EPC Contract) type projects
•Computer Skills (Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Planning and databases)
•An equivalent of 10-15 years’ emergency response experience in preferably international Oil and Gas industry of which at least 5-10 years field experience in construction ERP management in major projects
