The Company:
SADARA is a Multinational Chemical company which is constructing and operating a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. This will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
Provide emergency response services to protect the Chemical assets and facilities by quickly responding to fires, spills, hazardous materials outbreak, medical emergencies, confined space and elevated rescue incidents.
1. Respond to fires, spills, emergencies, etc. to shield company assets; maintain log of daily activities and distress calls for supervisory follow-ups.
2. Operate key emergency equipment and systems.
3. Conduct patrol on all plant site areas such as rail yards and key equipment and tank storage areas.
4. Perform outside perimeter fence patrol
5. Dispatch men and equipment to fire and emergency scene as directed.
6. Able to obtain and extract vital information from the caller in distress for effective and corrective action when dispatching quick response personnel on emergency cases.
7. Coordinate with the Health Centre to quickly dispatch ambulances to accident or fire sites, as necessary.
8. Maintain locator log on emergency call-out personnel.
9. Perform fire extinguisher training and refill fire extinguishers on training trailer.
10. Perform periodic emergency and communications equipment tests.
11. Monitor FACP /Alarm console and Siemens system for alarms and dispatch response accordingly.
12. Monitor Site Camera System, record and report activities, and respond accordingly.
13. Respond to worker’s violence calls and document the incident.
14. Investigate and make detailed reports of vehicle accidents, theft, and vandalism incidents.
15. Perform environmental impact assessment on oil spills.
16. Review, inspect and issue vessel entry response plans to all units.
17. Tag out Emergency Services’ owned equipment for maintenance and perform minor maintenance on all ES&S equipment as needed.
18. Respond to offsite transportation hazmat incidents.
19. Provide effective documentation of emergency incidents and prepare detailed reports and forward them to appropriate personnel.
20. Maintain daily log of all activities on shift and submit written incident reports when called for.
21. Notify individuals and agencies regarding spills, fires and medical calls.
22. Inspect all HAZMAT tank cars entering the division for proper dome seals and restrict entry of oversized loads.
23. Back up and support any Emergency Services Tech role when needed and directed.
24. Develop capability for all emergency response areas such as fire fighting, HAZMAT Response, emergency medical response, high angle/confined space rescue, distribution, emergency response, dispatcher, etc. and act as quick response team in case of emergency.
25. Maintain physical fitness to respond quickly to any emergency situation.
26.Work in a 12-hour rotating shift.
27. Perform any other job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• EMT certification is preferred.
• Willing to earn EMT-Basic and HAZMAT Technician certifications.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Knowledge and experience in Emergency Services and/or medical services is required.
• Plant Operations training and/or experience desired.
• Demonstrate the ability to think clearly and calmly under stress situations.
• Able to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve problems within the Emergency Services’ area of responsibility.
• Candidate must possess basic computer skills and software knowledge.
