The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company which will construct, own and operate a world-scale integrated chemicals complex in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the complex will represent the largest petrochemical facility ever built in a single phase. Our client will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

The Role:
The Emergency Shift Operations Delivery Specialist will be expected to:
- Oversee and assist in resolving operating problems and optimizing/monitoring conditions for the assurance of unit reliability and uninterrupted supply of the product through application of practical experience and technical knowhow.
- Monitor all aspects of Operations to ensure all operational parameters are met for the smooth and efficient operations and total reliability of the plant.
- Provide Shift Supervisors with advice and support in the review of all current procedures for meeting operational objectives and making changes in procedures for the safe and efficient running of the plant.
- Enhance operational processes through process design improvements in order to improve productivity or reduce costs.
- Provide advice and support in co-ordination of preventive and turnaround maintenance jobs in order to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the plant.
- Co-ordinate and participate with Engineering and Technical Services Departments in HAZOP and other studies.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Science (Chemistry or Petrochemical) Degree.
Sound knowledge and technical understanding of process safety and TQM knowledge.

• 5 years’ experience in chemical or oil industry or related EH&S field.
• 3 years’ experience in one of EH&S fields.
• Excellent command of technical engineering English. Arabic is not required but is highly desirable.
• The ability to analyze complex human/mechanical systems and problems, and to obtain acceptance of safe design and operating procedures.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Preferably demonstrated higher level of education relevant to the the petrochemical industry.
