The Company:
Our client is a large organisation responsible for the planning and maintenance of major transport projects in the Manchester area.

The Role:
The Energy Manager will Identify, quantify and prioritise energy saving opportunities and energy management improvements
Undertake feasibility, energy efficiency and cost studies and compile reports and recommendations as required
The Energy Manager will act as project manager for investments/projects ensuring they are delivered on time and budget
Develop, agree and deliver changes to policies and practices, to improve energy efficiency
Undertake energy audits as required to identify energy saving opportunities will also be involved in the Energy Manager's duties.
Monitor, analyse and report on the clients energy use and report on exceptions
Develop plan to embed energy management within Property Services roles
The Energy Manager will prepare technical briefs, technical specifications and tender documents to procure appropriate goods and services
Day to day management responsibility for the Utilities Coordinator

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in the operation and management of IT based energy management systems
Demonstrated experience and success in delivering measurable reductions in energy use
Experience of managing cross functional teams
An understanding of the wider context of energy and carbon reduction including legislation and government targets
Educated to degree standard in a relevant subject or equivalent experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience of Systems Link energy management software
Experience of responsibility for the efficient operation of mechanical and electrical systems and assets
Experience of asset management systems
Member of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIBSE, IEMA, Energy Institute)
Either an electrical engineer or a building services engineer
