The largest oil company in Saudi Arabia is seeking an Engineering Specialist in the area of Instrumentation and Control Systems with Process Safety Instrumentation emphasis, including High Integrity Protection Systems (HIPS); Well Head Safety Systems; and related piping, actuators, valves, safety logic solvers and instrumentation. The role will be working in the Process & Control Systems Department/Process Automation Systems Division. The Process Automation Systems Division offers engineering expertise in Custody Management, Process Instrumentation, HIPS, Plant Networks and Computing, and Process Automation Systems. This position will be based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements: A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Control Systems) or other related degree from an accredited university. A minimum of 10 years field experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry with an installed base of safety instrumented systems (HIPPS, HIPS, WHSD, SIS, SIF, ESD). This includes the selection and installation of field instrumentation, safety logic solvers, integrated valves and actuators along with peripheral safety related instrumentation (local control panels, solenoid valves, hydraulic pilots, cables, enclosures, trays and tubing). Specific experience is required with Safety Instrumented System (HIPS) applications and conventional safety systems. Experience with the design of valve testing methods and systems a plus. Must be knowledgeable with national and international safety standards; specifically from IEC, API, ASTM and NACE. Must have excellent wri

Responsibilities to include the following: • Review and write corporate engineering procedures and material system specifications. • Provide high level technical solutions to operations challenges and evaluate the expertise of existing and new suppliers. • Perform technical studies in substantive corporate technical issues and prepare and present reports to technical and management personnel. • Serve as the corporate authority on new and emerging technologies in your area of expertise and pioneer The largest oil company in Saudi Arabia’s use of these technologies. • Review mega project design and proposals.
