The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The Engine Build Planning role is critical to the success of new engine programmes within JLR. Working for the Engine Project Leader/Programme Manager the responsibility of this role includes (but is not limited too): Planning of all relevant pre production build phases, including co-ordination with the facilities team to ensure resources are available to complete engine build on time and to quality; in support of overall project timing. Lead BOM validation events, work with engineers and MP&L teams to ensure components are available for MRD. Create detailed timing plans for engine builds and development of contingency plans. Support DV plan creation and ensure facilities for DV work are available. Interface with the relevant teams to ensure dyno kits are procured on time via an appropriate route. Develop best practice processes for the engine programme management team with respect to engine build planning, timing and delivery.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
This is a key support role with much to be delivered under tight time, resource, and financial constraints. Project management skills are essential, as are good communication and presentation skills. Highly competent in PC desktop applications e.g. Excel, Project, Powerpoint etc. High levels of personal organisation and motivation are essential. Happy to use own initiative to tackle problems and devlop contingency actions
Build Planning or Timing role within a similar environment\organisation preferred. Consideration will be given to applicants with less experience, providing they exhibit motivation to learn and a "can do" approach
Preferably educated to degree level. Other higher educational qualifications will be considered depending on other skills and experience offered.
