The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:

To devise, select and engineer systems and components for products which meet all company requirements and to provide expert theoretical and practical knowledge of the latest developments in relevant engine systems.


- Responsible for developing and maintaining technical knowledge
- Responsible for planning own work for approval by manager
- Responsible for the design of components/ systems which are safe, legal and fit for purpose.
- Accountable for timely delivery of new product designs appropriately validated to meet start of production and for reporting progress, together with own recovery actions where necessary
- Accountable for timely parts release for all prototype build and production phases, and for timely delivery of new product designs required to achieve on time vehicle launch to quality and cost


- Operate within an agreed feature/ system budget
- Accountable for identifying any risk or issue affecting feature/ system delivery and recommending remedial action
- Make recommendations for supplier selection
- Advise Supplier Quality assurance of standards required
- Influence vehicle assembly and test processes with Manufacturing Engineers
- Facilitate sign- offs for systems/ components to the approved internal process with suppliers


- Engineering degree preferred and/ or extensive experience in CAD Engine Systems design
- German language skills would be beneficial
- Good communication skills and able to work with suppliers
- Catia V5 certificate or demonstrable work experience required
- Pro - E experience preferred
