The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Generate and maintain Engine Lubrication System Strategy.
Maintain technical compliance in line with programme requirements against a technical compliance timeline
Technical coaching and support of Engineers in sensors engineering.
Provide APC/Technology selection support.
Responsible for the definition and compliance of programme QCWFT targets
Support for annual process cadence of all foundation documents, component or commodity - corporate knowledge update.
Maintain key competitor benchmarking knowledge of components as part of SSR document compilation.
Mandatory technical input and/or approval of all SME related documentation Post.
Generate and maintain Design Rules, Standards, DVM’s & TP
Develop and maintain generic timing for design and validation maturity by gateway.
Responsible for Foundation FMEA
Responsible for Engineering Specification & Statement of Requirements
Support assessment of technical competency of supplier in support of sourcing process and on-going delivery
Technical approval of Deviations and Conformance Plan content.
Support engineers for complex component issue resolution.
Concur prototype build specification is appropriate for the build phase, compile and maintain valid cost benchmarking for prototype builds.
Concur ED&T is appropriate for the program phase, compile and maintain valid cost benchmarking for ED&T spend.
Concurs technical progress, assesses completion by key technical gateways and forecasts completion timing.
Concur applicability of Design Standards by Gateway.
Concur technical acceptability of completion of DVP at key engineering gateways.
Lead audit compliance initiatives to ensure current quality is being maintained in series production.
This role will require someone who desires a challenge, can innovate challenging design solutions and support the development of SVO Powertrains.

Essential Skills:
3 key skills;
1. Must have a detail knowledge of engine lubrication systems, requirements and associated technologies. This shall include an working knowledge of 1D analysis methods.
2. Must have knowledge and working experience of quality processes such as DFMEA's together with the use and development of system standards, design rules and verification plans.
3. Must be capable of developing a system strategy for powertrain sensors.
Must be able to communicating this strategy with clarity and a clear rationale and be able to plan its deployment.
Self-motivated and adaptable to changing demands
Experience of Powertrain commodity delivery or other commodity
Demonstrable experience of planning and delivering components or systems from concept to production
Demonstrable experience and working knowledge of Quality Tool Sets
Systems experience in powertrain sensors
Development and Delivery of DVP plans at system and component level
Development and completion of engineering standards and DFMEA's
HNC/D required

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Qualified to a degree level in relevant subject. Experience of lubrication systems. Understanding of hydraulic systems. Working knowledge of 1D analysis methods (not necessarily expert).
