The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
Scope
Development and delivery of ADAS (Active Cruise Control, Active Lane Assist,etc) system performance to meet the required project attributes. Responsible for the specification, test and validation plan to achieve the cost, weight, timing and quality targets for the project. Achieve engineering signoff for systems and components in area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
1. Support and Lead Design Development
Take the lead in Design and development of technology in area of responsibility.
Advanced ability to capture and specify the design requirements in area of responsibility.
Lead the Engineering test & validation planning and sign off for systems and components in area of responsibility. Lead Engineering release and change management process.

2. Delivery of Projects
Responsible for planning and managing project related activities throughout a complete project development.
Reporting of project status for area of responsibility in cross functional and project teams. Advanced understanding of cross functional working with other areas of the Business. Lead and initiate working with suppliers for progressing project deliverables. Basic financial awareness of their role in the organisation. Knowledge of cost of parts and systems with an understanding of value Engineering.

3. Problem solving
Ability to solve Highly complex Engineering and design related problems. Analysis and management of multiple design related issues to identify the root cause. Collect data, manage data and analyse data to produce reports as appropriate and progress design guidelines.

4.Developing and maintaining specialist knowledge
Responsible for keeping the functional area up to-date with technology in area of responsibility. Capture learning from previous experience. Work with group partners to influence group partners to keep up to date with the latest group developments.
Ability to work within a team, able to work effectively in the cross functional team. Lead contribution in delivering team objectives.

Qualifications
Higher Engineering Degree or equivalent Evidence of formal performance driving training from a reputable provider or OEM.

Previous Experience
Demonstrable experience of Project + Supplier Management in an Automotive environment.
Ability to communicate at various levels across the company in different forums Software Calibration and application knowledge/experience.
Ability to influence colleagues within your area of responsibility.
Ability to solve problems Previous experience of developing & delivering ADAS is desirable but not mandatory.
Demonstrable experience of project + Supplier Management Competent in Chassis system software application tools (Canape) and Microsoft Office application. Understanding of Product Emergence process (PEP) Flexibility for significant travel (mainly European) is required as part of this role.
