The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
CAD Engineer responsible for design, package analysis of engine and powertrain components and systems to support development of technology projects to a concept readiness maturity level, to support handover to the production project teams. Project management team support to key development milestones, supplier awareness and issue resolution support to key project milestones.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
CAD (Catia V5 essential - Teamcentre / Vis-mockup desirable) and design / development engineering support experience in Powertrain / Engine design. Ability to create concept design layouts and component detailing required. Must have a valid driving license for use in the UK
Experience of Engine (Diesel or Petrol) and Powertrain systems is required. Knowledge of vehicle systems would be beneficial. Being able to demonstrate the ability to lead the resolution of technical issues within a team environment. Experience of component design to meet performance and attribute targets. Good understanding of engine plastic / formed tubes / hoses / cast / machined components. Awareness of manufacturing processes associated with engine/powertrain components and assembly desirable. Good communication, interpersonal skills and self confidence are personal qualities needed to succeed, together with being self motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Good PC skills including Excel, Word and Project Working knowledge of gasoline and / or diesel engine, powertrain systems Disciplined approach on planning, prioritisation and records keeping"
