The Company:
A leading power and automation company who are deeply involved in large oil and gas projects here in Queensland are seeking a number of Engineers with Fibre Optic Installation and Commissioning experience to be part of a large construction project based on Curtis Island, Gladstone on a FIFO basis.

The Role:
As part of the Telecoms Installation Team you will be accountable for the safe installation and commissioning of the optical fibre cables ensuring you maintain the company’s record in service, quality and safety.

You will also be responsible for cable preparation, cable termination, testing and identifying faults outside specification parameters in compliance with the clients HSE requirements. As you will be working as part of a team you will also have effective communication skills and have a strong team work ethic

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Corning Fibre Optic Cable termination certificate
• Induction for Construction work – White Card
• Hand on experience with Nylon, SWA & CSA cables
• Slicing and termination experience
• Testing within power metering and test analysis

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience working with Anritsu or Fajikura
