The Role:
Main Goals and Objectives
- Deliver Electronics and associated Functions to meet the requirements specified in the Product Book and Targets Catalogue
- Responsible for the specification test and validation plan to achieve the cost, weight, timing and quality targets for the project.
- Achieve engineering sign off for systems and components in area of responsibility

Key Responsibilities

1. Support and Lead Design Development
- Take the lead in design and development to technology in area responsibility.
- Advanced ability to capture and specify design requirements in area of responsibility
- Lead the engineering test & validation planning and sign off for systems and components in area of responsibility
- Lead Engineering release and change management process

2. Delivery of Projects
- Responsible for planning and managing project related on a throughout a complete project development.
- Reporting of project status for area of responsibility in cross functional and project teams.
- Advanced understanding of cross functional working with other areas of the business.
- Lead an initiate working with suppliers for progressing project deliverables
- Basic financial awareness of their role in the organisation.
- Knowledge of cost of parts and systems with an understanding of value engineering.

3. Problem Solving
- Ability to solve Highly complex Engineering and design related problems.
- Analysis and management of multiple design related issues to identify the root cause.
- Collect data, manage data and analyse data to produce reports as appropriate and progress design guidelines.

4. Developing and maintaining Specialist Knowledge
- Responsible for keeping the functional area up to date with technology in area of responsibility.
- Capture learning from previous experience.
- Work with group partners to influence development of modules to include specific requirements

5. Ability to work within a team
- Able to work effectively in the cross functional team.
- Lead contribution in delivering team objectives

Specific information for Role
Responsible for validation test and sign off of Hybrid systems in conjunction with other engineering departments.
Validation & Sing off of Hybrid Electronics components in area of responsibility

Qualifications
- Higher Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Membership of relevant professional intuition and Chartered Engineer status preferable

Skills & Experience
- Ability to communicate at various levels across the company in different forums Design and development skills
- Ability to influence colleagues within your area of responsibility
- Understanding of financial limits within area of responsibility
- Experience in the delivery of high- voltage electrical/electronics systems in the automotive environment
- German language preferable
- Ability to solve problems
- Understanding of Health & Safety and capability to complete risk assessment in own area
- Practical & Technical Knowledge
- Significant advanced knowledge of Design and Development; Test and measurement; Engineering drawings;
- Ability to use Industry standard Software Development and Validation tools (e.g.Vector CANoe)
- Understanding of the future direction within the field of Hybrid electronics
- Understanding of functional & system development encompassing V-Model
- Understanding of Product Emergence (PEP)
- Understanding of Functional Safety & application within Hybrid components
