The Company:
an Oil Company is seeking a Chemical Eng.-Industry Cluster Development Specialist/Analyst

The Role:
Interface between parties responsible for implementation and execution of the operations plan. Represents sites during the planning process, providing constraints and scenarios for evaluation and feedback on results.
Understands and communicates the objectives and drivers of the site specific JEC plan. Develops feedstock site schedule and schedules plant operating conditions and rates.
Evaluates the economics of scenarios and analyze proposals and product scenarios.
Leads optimal vs. plan vs. actual analysis at site on a regular basis. Works with others to identify actual constraints and compares to plan.
Determines values of deviations and works with appropriate individuals to address and correct.
Monitors and coordinates information to ensure project operates to schedule and plan values to maximize profitability.
Identify, value, and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
Performs evaluations and designs that will improve profitability.
Assists site technical organizations to identify and implement GAP Closure initiatives to improve asset profitability.
Assists site operations organization to optimally plan maintenance activities to maximize production.
Monitors for performance and direction consistent with the plan.
Ensures pricing used for online optimization is consistent with offline optimization plan.
Monitors Advisor information for site and works with specialists on issues.
Monitor and understand performance vs. related industry benchmarks and aggressively identify and implement value based decisions to ensure company plans or processes are not disadvantaged relative to the competition / industry averages.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor degree required in Chemical Engineering.
8 years experience preferred involving one or more of the following: manufacturing, business planning and analysis, supply chain, business management or sales.
Excellent communication skills across functional areas to ensure understanding, alignment and synchronization of the operating plan.
Must be highly motivated with strong problem solving skills to lead / influence and impact decisions, with minimal direct supervision.
Must have advanced simulation skills to maintain and execute optimization models.
Incorporate systemic thinking into the detailed responsibilities associated with supply and demand planning, understanding and utilizing impacts and opportunities across the entire system

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, Global Standards and Specifications
