The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:

The Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division operates as a nimble business within a business and is focused towards increasing profitability through leveraging our customers desire to personalize their vehicles.

• Act as the Key Launch interface between SVO and the wider stakeholders. (Vehicle Programme Teams, Marketing, Manufacturing etc).
• Be responsible for all on line Vehicle Launch Activities ensuring of a flawless launch
• To act as the 'Programme conduit' for unblocking Road Blocks, Lead Cross functional issues ensuring resolution. and to provide status reports to the wider stakeholders via night letters as required.
• Help coordinate a robust approach to problem solving ensuring all properties (accessories / Limited editions etc.) are delivered to cost, time & the agreed quality standards.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Able to demonstrate excellent Project Management and Launch Experience with a proven track record of successful Project delivery.
• Excellent knowledge of project management tools and methods.
• A good working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing in a fast paced environment, particularly tooling methods and Lead- Times Good working knowledge of automotive vehicle systems eg. vehicle accessories, vehicle exteriors, vehicle interiors, vehicle electrical systems, electronics, chassis and powertrain.
• Good working knowledge of systems and tools used to develop engineering solutions eg CAD, CAE, FMEA, DFA.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential to liaising with a number of internal and external parties, and coordinating a wide range of cross-functional work tasks.
• Previous first hand working experience of launching a new model/derivative into production.
* Experience of working in a project management role.
* It is anticipated candidates with be educated

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Knowledge of project management systems used in automotive applications
• Working knowledge of issue tracking and release systems eg. BOM, AIMS, WERS
• Good working knowledge of systems and tools used to develop engineering solutions eg CAD, CAE, FMEA, DFA.
* Experience of working in a similar or technical role within the automotive industry, with demonstrable track record of delivery.
