The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
This is a key role in Powertrain PTSE Fuel systems with responsibility for the validation & delivery of system integration and attributes of fuel supply system design. Powertrain PTSE fuel system group is responsible for the fuel system design, development and sign off for all our client's products. The department is responsible for getting concept design from the Advanced Product Creation (APC) team, refining and driving those designs into production. The department has a wide variety of work, currently having major projects on most of the company model lines. A vacancy exists for a fuel System Integration Engineer within this team.

Occasional travel between sites and to suppliers within the UK and Europe may be required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Own and manage the validation of fuel system circuit designs into company applications.
* Manage the fuel system attributes via technical meetings, design critiques, FMEA, Test reporting and Sign Off approval.
* Create and maintain fuel system attribute validation plans inline with key milestones.
* Create Fuel System Engineering Standards as required to ensure that designs meet all the fuel system attribute requirements.
* Create/ develop rigs and facilities to test and validate Fuel System to all attribute requirements.
* Undertake all fuel system attribute validation testing inline with program timing.
* Support all vehicle issues related to fuel system attributes as the main source of fuel system technical knowledge.
* Vast experience in Automotive Engineering.
* Flexible, motivated with good interpersonal and meeting skills. Must be able to foster good working relationships to achieve goals.
* Proven ability to manage own workload to meet clear and defined targe

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate must be able to work within the principles and operating practices associated with PCS1 (formally GPDS), with specific focus on improving the early sign-off of all fuel system attributes prior to M1DJ.

* Experience of test activity related to rig based systems, including instrumentation and computer based capture.
* Vehicle Test activity.
* Vehicle and powertrain product development experience would be an advantage.
* Detailed knowledge of automotive fuel supply systems. Including evaporative emission system.
* Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
