The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
Fircroft have been asked to source an Engineer Standards and Compliance to support the Manager Engineering Quality.

• Work for a Coal Seam Gas project owner
• Long term contract position (12 to 24 months)
• Attractive Brisbane location

The Engineer Standards and Compliance will ensure the engineering work for the asset at the handover stage is delivered in accordance to the company and industry standards.

Typically the incumbent will develop, implement and manage the engineering compliance work. You will ensure that the technical compliance is conducted efficiently and to the highest standards. This will be done through gap analysis, dispensation management and internal audit.

You will act as the focal point for Standards and Compliance issues by using a network of Technical Authorities and Subject Matter Experts. Supporting the continuous improvement of the company standards and guidelines, by proactively seeking areas for improvement and documenting them.

• Maintain a register of applicable engineering standards
• Manage all standards deviations with the relevant Technical Authorities
• Ensure that the asset and project respond to changes in these standards
• Interface between the engineering and non-engineering compliance issues
• Liaise with stakeholders to develop and improve the engineering compliance framework
• Support the process of independent verification of the engineering designs

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualified in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent years experience
• Record of achievement and delivery in three or more multi-disciplinary engineering management
• Experience leading the interpretation of standards for international Oil & Gas companies
• Knowledge of standards and regulations applicable to engineering design through to operations
• Application of technical risk analysis techniques with a track record of identifying problems and providing solutions

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Chartered status
• Experience working in a Brownfield project environment
