The Role:
- Develop and maintain standards, procedures, philosophy and guidelines related to loss prevention engineering which is at least equivalent to national reguration and international best practice.
- Provide consulation and apply company loss prevention process throughout all phases of project development including exploration, conceptual studies, pre-project, engineering design, construction and installation, commissioning and start up, development drilling, production and facilities management and abandonment. This is included but not limited to; Study and evaluation of modifications, Assessment of the safety deviations, Assessment of the Downgraded situations.
- Facilitate, review and provide advice on speccific safety studies regarding loss preventionengineering for projects, assets and division as necessary.
- Use appropriate software and tools for safety analysis, calculation and design aids.
- Investigate high potential incident/accident, and provide advice on preventive measures and remedial actions to ensure all actions are taken properly.
- Perform regular audit to comply with SSHE management system, loss prevention and risk assessment standard.
- Initiate program/campaign which assistes to promote safety awareness and prevent major accident in operations.
- Produce, organize and coordinate the production of loss prevention database and reports.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering
- Master degree in Engineering from cverseas university is advantaged.
- Good understanding of oil and gas exploration and production process.
- 5-15 years experience as loss prevention engineer with 5-15 years experience in onshore or offshore work.
- Have a comprehensive knowledge in loss prevention process, safety study and safety analysis techniques such as: Facilitate oe lead HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, QRA, SIMOPS, Bow Tie. Develop, implement and update safety case. Perform project technical review and operation technical review. Ability to use safety analysis is software i.e. FRED, BOWTIE
- Good knowledge of industry codes, standards and legislation on SSHE aspect.
- Strong leadership skills and good communication skills.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Strong analytical skills.
