The Role:
MAIN GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Deliver Engineering systems and components to meet the requirements of the Project Description Brochure.
Responsible for the specification and design & development including test and validation plan to achieve the cost, weight, timing and quality targets for the project. Achieve engineering signoff for systems and components in area of responsibility.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Support and Lead Design Development
Advanced Awareness of Design and development techniques and technology in area of responsibility. Advanced ability to capture and specify the design requirements in area of responsibility. Deliver the Engineering test & validation planning and sign off for systems and components in area of responsibility. Support Engineering release and change management process.

2. Delivery of projects
Responsible for planning and managing project related activities on a Weekly Basis. Reporting of project status for area of responsibility in functional area. Intermediate understanding of cross functional working with other areas of the business. Active participation working with suppliers for progressing project deliverables. Basic financial awareness of their role in the organisation. Knowledge of cost of parts and systems with an understanding of value engineering.

3. Problem Solving
Ability to solve complex Engineering and design related problems. Analysis and management of several design related issues to identify the root cause.
Collect data, manage data and analyse data to produce reports as appropriate and progress design guidelines .

4. Developing and maintaining Specialist knowledge
Responsible for keeping the local team up-to-date with technology in area of responsibility. Capture learning from previous experience. Understand and maintain liaison with group partners to keep up to date with latest group developments.

5. Ability to work within a team
Able to work effectively in the functional team. Support of own contribution in delivering team objectives.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to communicate at various levels across the company in different forums
Design and development skills
Ability to influence colleagues within your area of responsibility
Understanding of financial limits within area of responsibility
Skills required by local area
German language preferable.
Ability to solve problems
Knowledge of: Design and development; Test and measurement; Engineering drawings; Software tools
Understanding of Product Emergence Process (PEP)
Engineering Degree or equivalent
Associate membership of a relevant professional intuition preferable
