The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
My client is looking to recruit either an experienced Project Manager or Engineering Manager who will take responsibility for the management of an Engineering Applications team to support the Sales team with the delivery of innovative and credible engineering sales solutions for robotic applications.

Key duties will include:

• Provide a clear strategy to leading a team of Robotic engineers in providing an innovative and qualified robotic based engineering application with an added value solution.
• Ensure the Application team provides an accurate cost estimate solutions to capture a value based selling strategy.
• Ensure all policies relating to auditable processes within the applications department are maintained and available for review.
• Ensure all Engineering Technical deliverables are in agreement prior to the completion of the bid submission.
• Actively promote a collaborative approach to satisfying customer requirements globally
• Maintain a culture of continuous improvement through setting & measuring targets.
• Provide technical Engineering support throughout the tender process to the Sales Teams
• Organise qualified and accurate handover packages to the Operations Engineering Department for all successful project orders.
• Support the sales team with pre-order practical trials and technical application developments.
• Manage the enquiry Bid / No-Bid process
• Host meetings and provide reports to Senior Management in respect to strategy & continuous improvement programs.
• Develop and Maintain key customer relationships in support to the sales & engineering teams

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Robotics application and Arc welding engineering knowledge. Industry experience essential
• HNC level (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline – Electrical or Mechanical.
• Computer literacy – Minimum Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Demonstrable knowledge/experience of project management principles.
• Experience of developing, leading and motivating a multi-disciplinary team
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
