Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
A new position has arisen for an Engineering IM Coordinator based in Perth on a 12 month contract.

The core responsibilities include:

• Build and establish competence within the Downstream Engineering Information Management (EIM) Team and introduce a successful working relationship with internal and external customers
• Comply and promote compliance with Company and Project specific procedures/processes to ensure success.
• Actively contribute to the IM Strategy processes and procedures
• Act as an SME for the implementation of core business processes
• Build a team ethic within the Downstream EIM team and promote excellence within that team
• Build and maintain open lines of communication and avenues for knowledge sharing between all IM teams EIM Coordination

Directly responsible for overseeing and assuring the EPCM performance in delivering the following engineering data elements;
• Monitor, oversee, expedite & report on progress of EPCM EIM deliverables
• Ensure adequate EIM resources in place to support to Downstream IM project delivery
• Provide subject matter expertise to the project team
• Liaise with IM Handover Coordinator
• Management of EIM related Instructions To Contractors (ITC’s)
• Coordination of company response to EPCM Requests For Information (RFI’s)
• Work with EPCM to develop, implement and improve key EIM processes, supporting business controls and tools
• Support development and Implementation of a robust mechanism that ensures engineering data associated with / impacted by the Engineering change (Management of Change) process is managed in a manner that is visible and supports continued completeness and integrity of information, including:
- Completeness & quality checking
- Verification process
- Status reporting
- Escalation & resolution
- Coordination, capture and tracking
- Review and approval process (including demonstration of Technical authority endorsement)
- Red line mark-up, project document (planned change) and work pack management
- As-building process IM Services

Responsible for the development and implementation of the following EIM elements;
• Liaison with EPCM EIM team
• Liaison with 3rd Party EIM service providers (e.g. engineering content management service providers)
• Regular monitoring and reporting to Downstream IM Team Lead, typically EIM functional support statistics, progress reporting and issue escalation

• Ongoing communication and promotion of Engineering and Operations EIM processes, standards and best practice
• Monitor performance of EPCM, working with EPCM Global Leads
• Coordination of handover of EIM scope deliverables (design and vendor) into company systems, at agreed commissioning and operations project milestones
• Proactively encourage improved and consistent Information Management and promote the broader use of online collaborative working methods
• Participant and/or contributor to Company and Contractor audits
• Monitor Project EIM workload in consultation with the Downstream IM Team Lead and make adjustments as necessary to ensure Project timelines are met
• Act as SME during Project Alignment sessions, workshops and lessons learned activities
• Management of EIM interface activities with Upstream
• Review and continuous improvement of project infrastructure and systems to support the project user base (completions and operations), e.g. company engineering data warehouse (EDW), engineering portal to the “Company Digital Asset”, EIM query/CMMS staging database
• Focal point for the project team and Operations and Maintenance queries on project engineering information in Contractor and systems
• Review and continuous improvement of EIM related roadmap, strategies, processes, specifications and business controls for Downstream IM
• Contributing the continual development and maturity of EIM discipline in Downstream IM and company wide
• Reporting – Design, Develop and Deliver completion / quality reports
• Development and implementation of engineering information handover specifications and procedures in alignment with corporate requirements People and Teams
• Management of 2 direct reports
• Management of resourcing and recruitment
• Attend and contribute to weekly IM team meeting
• Build excellent relationships with Stakeholders and Information Owners
• Attend and contribute to department and team meetings as required
• Contribute, attend and initiate as required EIM Project meetings
• Contribute and attend EIM network meetings
• Leading and mentoring team members and extended working groups where required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Proven experience in the following areas: document management, data management, commissioning, hand-over, as building
• Minimum 5-10 years industry experience required (primarily within an Major Capital Project and Production environment)
• Proven track record of developing and implementing IM controls, processes and tools to Operations and Project teams
• Experience of working with EPC’s
• Experience in the development and implementing Information Management business controls
• Proven ability to deliver operational solutions in accordance with strategic plans

• Ability to manage small teams of internal and external consultants and service providers as required
• Good team collaboration and supervisory skills
• Excellent document management, communications and negotiation skills
• Capacity to learn new skills and integrate new processes and technology into existing work activities
• Strong customer focus
• Methodical and practical approach to issue prevention, problem solving and an ability to work under the pressure
Ability to build and foster strong intra-team relationships and communicate/interface across the project
