The Company:
Our Client is the largest LNG producing company in the world, with an annual LNG production capacity of 42 million tonnes per annum (MTA), safely and reliably delivering LNG to customers around the globe from world-class facilities in Qatar.

The Role:
Main Responsibilities :
Lead the engineering team for the execution phase of the offshore installation of additional living quarters and upgrade project.
The Engineering Lead will be based initially at the EPCI contractor’s office in or outside Qatar and will be responsible for the detailed design of the project, leading a team of multi-discipline engineers.
When engineering is close to completion, the engineering lead will be expected to relocate in or outside Qatar to support the fabrication, installation, and commissioning and startup phases of the project as Field Engineering Manager.
The Engineering Lead is the primary focal point for all engineering matters related to the design, including the interpretation of FEED design basis and its conversion into detailed design in line with the Contract’s requirements, and for reviewing of the engineering documents produced by the EPCI contractor


Primary Accountabilities :

 Reports to Project Head
 Provides leadership and facilitates the development of Project detailed design
 Completion of safe, fit-for-purpose and cost effective design of the Project.
 Review of the engineering deliverables produced by the EPCI contractors
 Manage the quality of contractors’ engineering team and the deliverables produced.
 Responsible for the EPCI engineering deliverables
 Responsible for managing the Company Project Engineering Team – people, development, quality, cost and efficiency.
 Keep the PMT and contractor’s team focused on safety, quality and cost.
 Develop and implement a Project Assurance Plan including agreed internal and external assurance events
 Review of suppliers’ deliverables and supervision of EPCI contractor’s activities in this regard
 Review of technical bid evaluations of requisitions prepared by EPCI contractor
 Developing and implementing procedures required for engineering management of project
 Develop and manage the PMT Management of Change process for design with the FEED Basis of Design as the reference
 Responsible for resolving all technical queries raised by the EPCI contractor in a timely manner
 Prepare for transition of a subset of the PMT Engineering team from EPCI contractor to offshore for installation.
 Responsible for seeking out and implementing lessons learned
 Responsible for coordinating with operations groups to ensure engineering design meet requirements of operations
 Responsible for monitoring and controlling the quality, completeness and schedule of the EPCI contractor’s engineering deliverables.
 Manage the contractor effectively to ensure completion of the engineering

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Graduate Engineer
• 15+ years of major international Oil & Gas Engineering experience
• Proven 10+ years of engineering and engineering management experience of offshore projects
• Demonstrated experience in offshore and marine engineering and operations
• Demonstrated experience in Multi-discipline engineering
• Results oriented. Must be able to understand impact of decisions/changes on project risks
• Strong technical competence in Project and Discipline Engineering
• Strong management skills proven in large EPC contractor’s offices as Owner or Contractor
• Ability to work in a multifaceted / multinational organizational matrix with a variety of working relationships
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills
• Ability to utilize networking, influence skills and technical knowledge to achieve project’s goals
