The Role:
Our client is seeking an Engineering Leader

Job Dimensions:

Lead the EPSCC1 Detailed Engineering and assist Procurement activities with the support of the Engineering discipline engineers, area engineers, Inspection engineers and the expeditor, in compliance with Project specifications and procedures, General Specifications with the main objectives to maintain cost and progress within agreed budget and schedule, while ensuring an adequate level of Safety and Quality.
• EPSCC1 Contract: 800 M USD
• Staff managed: Lead the Company Engineering Team composed of up to 15 discipline engineers.

Activities:

To lead the Company Engineering Team detached to EPSCC1 offices (up to 15 persons).
• To approve from Company side all Detailed Engineering documentation with full support of Engineering disciplines engineers for EPSCC1 and smaller Contract EPSCC2.
• To ensure the technical support of Procurement activities (Vendors selection approval, Material requisition, Vendors technical queries, Vendors documentation, MTO) in liaison with the Engineering disciplines engineers, Inspection engineers and the expeditor.
• To answer to Contractors for all technical queries and requests for waivers EPSCC1, EPSCC2.
• To report Engineering progress and concerns regularly to the Engineering Manager and EPSCC1 Package Manager
• To organize all necessary technical, co-ordination Engineering meetings required.
• To support Internal and external Audits activities and provide answers as required, refer in particular to PTR and SPOT.
• To liaise with the Construction Leader or his Team when deemed required for the performance of the works.
• To liaise with the Production Superintendant or his Team when deemed required for the performance of the works (MIE and Commissioning).
• To ensure that Company rules and directives are observed.
• To assist in the procedure preparation, being involved in the processing and update of the documentation.
• To promote all actions in order to reach suitable Safety and Environmental performances during all phases of the Project development.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Professional chartered Engineer either generalist or with a strong background in a technical discipline, Process engineering is preferred.
• Previous experience as Engineering Coordinator within EPC Contracts or within a Subsidiary Construction and Project department.
• Previous experience as Lead Discipline Engineer within large EPC contracts.
• Previous experience as Engineering Leader of a minimum 10 years.
• Fluency in English (speaking and writing); Italian would be a must.
• HSE training: risk awareness and prevention (4997), guarantor of the cause tree (4865), HSE implementation SEV 2 (3201), First aid induction, fire fighting induction(10794), defensive driving, understanding HAZOP method (4499), safety engineering(11753)
