The Company:
A well-established, mid-tier Queensland contractor is currently under tender negotiations to provide construction management support to the brownfields installation of gas processing facilities in South-West Queensland. Based in Brisbane, the Engineering Manager will oversee the execution of the project, whilst liaising closely with a project partner, who is responsible for the engineering and design. As such, it is critical that the successful applicant have a knowledge base across both design

The Role:
As an experienced manager within an EPC or contractor environment, the successful candidate will display a strong knowledge of Australian standards relative to mechanical and electrical equipment within oil & gas. Desirable is a working knowledge of reciprocating compressors and other associated process and utility plant. Reporting to a project Construction Manager, this role will manage a team of engineers and support staff. An emphasis will be on liaison and advice to the partnering design team with regards to design feasibility and constructability, which will positively influence project timeframes and budgets through execution. This position will be based in Brisbane and will involve occasional site travel.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Degree qualifications in a related field – i.e. mechanical, electrical or civil engineering
- Exposure delivering Brownfields project work within compression stations or refineries
- Strong knowledge of local standards and projects within CSG, obtained via practical experience in the industry locally
- Experience across design and installation of gas (reciprocating) compressors (special consideration given to estimating and tender capability)
- Previous personnel management experience of engineers and supporting staff
- Current Australian work rights with the ability to mobilise quickly, if required
- Openness to site travel, where necessary
- Ability to be Brisbane based (*please note: FIFO and/or relocation assistance will not be an option in this instance)
