The Role:
The Engineering Manager is responsible for providing leadership to the Compressions Project Engineering team.
This position reports to Deputy Managing Director

• Ensures projects are delivered on schedule and at budget by performing project management function; researching basic business and technical issues. Must be able to work under pressure, little to no supervision, and be a team player
• Ensures attainment of project schedules, budgets, procedures and revenues by developing and monitoring the budget and approval process
• Monitoring the project progress and budget during design and fabrication
• Acts as single point of contact for customer during design and fabrication of project
• Ensures that project team, vendors, and customers adhere to project schedule
• Document and handle project scope changes, communicate revised project schedule and issues change orders for customer approval
• Conduct internal and customer kick off meetings, participates on cross-functional teams, internal and external; addresses inter-departmental issues; establishing and communicating project schedules, objectives, priorities, and targets
• Coordinates technical interpretation as required
• Ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, government regulations, and customer specifications; ensuring the documentation of project activities and deliverables
• Keeps management informed on project status by reporting on project status such as : identifying risks, tests, costs, issues, and performance to established targets on regular basis
• Works on moderate to high complexity projects and/or key accounts
• May work with 3rd party inspection and/or EPC firms
• Make business case presentations
• researches business and technical issues to establish what is being done and where improvements are possible
• Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner
• Conduct regular customer visits and provides feedback to management and understanding customer requests
• Leads/Attends in project closure meetings and financial meetings


•Engineering degree in Mechanical
•Must have experience managing a small team
• Experience with ERP systems, project scheduluing and preferably with knowledge of shipping and commercial (InCO) terminology
• Strong communication skills in a multi-discipline environment
• Familiarity with packaged equipment, ASME, API Industry Standards and NACE International electric codes and hazardous areas
• Strong business acumen and understanding of international market trends
• Only experience in the compression packages will be considered
