The Company:
Our client is a leading European petrochemical producer with extensive project exposure across Russia and Eastern Europe.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be:
• Responsible for the technical part of EPC contractors tender activities
• Review and comment EPC contractors engineering plans
• Responsible to the Project Director for the safety, quality, schedule and budget for the ECU engineering work and deliverables
• Coordinate oversight as required to the EPC contractors to ensure the quality, technical integrity of engineering deliverables within the project budget and schedule
• Responsible for proper coordination and communication among Engineering disciplines, facilitates communication with Procurement group and the construction organization
• Provide guidance to EPC contractors on issues, materials, practices, or specifications which must be included in their design
• Assign necessary resources for the Engineering team for the ECU project (includes staff specialists, automation tools and software)
• Ensure engineering team understands the project baseline
• Review material take offs as well as engineering hours estimates for the OBCE, for other estimates and for change requests by EPC contractor
• Reviews and approves technical changes, requests to deviate from Technical Specification, by the EPC contractor
• Organizes Owner involvement for key design reviews (model review, HAZOP/HAZID, value engineering)
Skills & Qualifications
• Higher education (technical)
• Extensive experience in engineering management (minimum 10 year experience on medium to large projects
• International experience preferred
• Expert knowledge in rules and regulations and approval procedures (RF and foreign),
• Management and communication skills
• English language
