The Company:
Our Client appears in the FTSE 100 index and is an international energy services company specializing in Oil and Gas and has annual revenues of over £2.6 billion. They believe that it is the people that drive their success, from Project Managers, Project Engineers, consultants to designers and commercial personnel. They work globally employing over 20,000 people on major operations including the UK

The Role:
◦Responsible for the development of design policies, strategies and support capability of the studies design process.
◦Responsible for the continuous improvement of the studies design engineering and delivery process.
◦Shall motivate and co-ordinate subordinate engineering solutions personnel, assisting in the resolution of problem areas and maintaining a personal interest in their achievements.
◦Shall maintain an overview of schedule performance and studies design engineering discipline effort quality, communicating any deviance identified in the integrity of the Engineering Solutions group objectives.
Responsible for maintaining relations with the client in respect of studies design engineering issues when required.
◦Shall support the Engineering Solution group innovation process and seek opportunities to improve the company position in the market place.
◦Shall maintain constant dialogue with other sphere managers in order to preserve continuity and momentum of progress.
◦Shall comply with all aspects of the "Health and Safety at Work etc. Act (1974)", but particular section 7.0 relating to General Duties of Employees, i.e. "Employees must take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions. They must also co-operate with their employer so far as it is necessary to enable the employer to comply with his duties under the Act".
◦Shall comply with all relevant procedures, guidance, etc. relating to the work, which will ensure compliance with the comapny Safety Management System.
Shall attend regular Safety, Health and Environmental awareness training provided by the company which will help meet the above requirements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree qualified engineer in engineering subject.
Process / Mechanical or Instrument background
Ideally chartered status.
Must have experience of Brownfield modifications in the oil and gas industry.Green field EPCI experience advantageous.
Engineering Manager in a technical position within oil and gas industry.
Experienced in the technical issues / queries
Extensive knowledge of industry Regulations, Codes and Standards
Good knowledge of industry best practices; Experience of multi-discipline resource management
Extensive knowledge and understanding of HSE.
