The Role:
ENGINEERING MANAGER

LOCATION: Houston

POSITION SUMMARY
The Engineering Manager is responsible for the management of capital and expense projects in the Gulf of Mexico. The Technical Supervisor will work with the member company personnel and regulatory personnel to review current interim system capabilities develop enhanced capabilities of the interim system as required by the member companies and advise on the capabilities of the upcoming expanded system


Roles and Responsibilities:
• Ability to judge the quality of engineering documents
• Ability to drive collaboration and efficiency across multiple sites
• Broad knowledge of engineering document control
• Ability to manage and develop engineering staff
• Interface with the appropriate regulatory agencies to ensure agreement and approval of current and enhanced system capabilities
• Keen focus on Project Management
• Strong knowledge of materials management, procurement, receiving, warehousing, etc.
• Customer focused with strong influential leadership skills
• Ability to prepare and analyze critical path schedules
• Actively participate as member of the Response Team through participation in response drills as Operation Source Control or Technical Liaison
• Thorough understanding of cost forecasting and engineering productivity measurement

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in a technical/engineering field required
• Previous experience in supervising Pre-Operations team on a major capital project. Experienced in managing equipment handover, technical maintenance requirements and systems, and start-up operations
• Understanding of GoM regulatory environment
• Minimum of 10 years in a Project Engineering/Project Management role with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Project Management/Supervisory role
• Familiarity with gated decision making processes is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communications
• Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems
• Ability to work in and foster a strong team environment with minimal supervision
• A safety champion who will support achieving zero incidents and injuries
