We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to for proactively manage, coordinate, supervise and direct engineering resources whilst ensuring engineering activities are executed in accordance with the schedule for a key underground development in Shanghai. The successful Manager will liaise with the onsite project and construction management teams, as well as other home office engineering support networks in order to successfully lead this stage of the project.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinating all engineering, design and procurement resources and assigning and allocating resources to the project.
• Participating in the recruitment of engineering resources.
• Participating in strategic planning and the Engineering Leadership Team.
• Coordinating the preparation of reports.
• Reviewing proposals, studies, estimates, and technical reports prior to issuance.
• Overseeing engineering deliverables for quality, procedures and consistency.
• Managing engineering productivity and budgets.
• Coordinating the management of engineering sub-consultants.
• Reviewing and supporting the development of manuals, procedures, instructions, and forms.
• Promoting safety awareness among the engineering team.
• Establishing good working relationships and communication with area leads, department managers and the client.
• Coaching and mentoring an international workforce.





Essential Requirements:
• Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in engineering or a recognized related business program.
• 15 years of progressive leadership experience in proven engineering experience in mining and metallurgical or similar heavy industrial projects, with a proven background in the execution of large industrial EPCM projects.
• Proven track record of successful project completion with respect to safety, cost and schedule, and exceeding customer expectations.
• Ability to design and implement relevant work practices.
• An understanding of change management and ability to translate this into appropriate action.
• Experience in a multicultural work environment preferred.
• A willingness and ability to travel internationally to remote locations.
