The Company:
Our client is an international operator in the oil and gas sector.

The Role:
Contract or staff position available.

This role is part of the client's London team. As an experienced, credible and highly skilled professional, you will be responsible for functional performance. An experienced, commercially aware Engineer capable of managing those issues associated with bringing the development through FEED, detailed design and construction. Able to identify the critical value drivers of a project, and know when additional support is required to address them.

• Engineering facilities aspects of the development
• Ensure Technical Integrity and compliance with adequate procedures
• Development and maintenance of BOD
• Development of the facilities functional specifications
• Contribute to the development of Project execution plans
• Provide engineering input for the selection of equipment and materials
• Provide engineering input for the selection of contractors and consultants

Reporting relationships: Reporting to Development Manager

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Facilities related Engineering Degree (e.g. chemical, mechanical, process, petroleum etc);


Skills (and experience):
• At least 15 years experience working in field development activities
• Held position of Project or Pre Sanction Engineering manager for a major offshore oil or gas field.
• Strong track record in HSE leadership
• The ability to quickly identify and quantify the key value drivers of a project;
• Highly developed influencing skills;
• Track record of management of professional technical staff and first level managers
• Creative; a team worker who can meet meet deadlines; attention to detail

• Knowledge of process and pipeline simulation packages (e.g. Hysys, pipesim)
• Good general knowledge of the oil industry
