The Company:
Our Client is a pioneer of open hole, multi-stage horizontal fracturing who provide technology-based solutions to the oil and gas industry around the world. My client is looking for an Engineering Manager in their northwest Houston office.

The Role:
ENGINEERING MANAGER - HOUSTON, TEXAS

Our Client is a pioneer of open-hole, multi-stage horizontal fracturing who provide technology based solutions to the oil and gas industry around the world. They are looking for an Engineering Manager to be based in their NW Houston office. This position will manage a team of 5-10 employees including designers and some administrative personnel as well. Reports to the Director of Engineering for the U.S.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

•Analyze and implement continuous improvement of services including developing training programs, certification expectations and schedules
•Continually engage in improvement of group skills including attendance of cutting edge symposiums and forums, local and international meetings
•Analyze and document business processes and problems
•Continually develop products that meet the corporate objective of expanding intellectual property and license these products as required
•Drive innovation in the delivery of services, development of tools and utilization of manpower
•Provide Cost and benefit analysis of new products, including forecasted payback and future trends
•Develop new and innovative ways to assemble tools to improve efficiency of manufacturing
•Lead the corporate objective of operational excellence in the delivery of services
•Liaison with internal stakeholders to research and develop new ideas
•Provide research and development for innovation in offerings to include: preliminary design, calculation, life cycle cost, testing, risk analysis, usability, salability and delivery of goods
•Review and critique proposed changes to Engineering standards, policies, or details
•Review development plans for compliance with adopted Engineering standards and good Engineering practices.
•Advise internal stakeholders of changes, updates and/or impact items specific to the effective deployment of services
•Ensure employees are in compliance with Company Health and Safety Program

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS

•Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum or related) or equivalent experience (Mechanical or Petroleum preferred)
•Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience – 10 years preferred
•Previous Completions Design experience
•Experience with Packers, Frac ports, open-hole (some sort of packers)
•PE Designation is a plus
•Familiar with ISO Standards
•Entrepreneurial personality, innovative, unafraid to think outside of the box
