The Company:
My client is a joint venture petroleum storage terminal based in the Warwickshire area. As part of a complete restructure they are actively recruiting for the position of Engineering Manager.

The ideal candidate will ideally have a petrochemical background, have a an excellent mechanical background, with a knowledge of the chemical and process industries.

The Role:
• Development of the Capital and Engineering OPEX related items of the annual budget
• Provide “Expert” advice/support/problem resolution in all matters relating to your own Engineering Discipline and procurement of external “expert” advice when required
• Responsible for review and approval of engineering schemes, detailed scopes of work, budget costs and project justifications
• Oversee the performance of contractors and report annually
• Propose availability and prioritization of resources
• Assist in reviewing and updating Company Engineering Standards and documents in accordance with legislation and Company Management Systems
• Provide monthly project progress reports with justifications for variances
• Monitor technical developments which might impact operations and practices and keep informed of significant trends or events, both in the technical and legal fields
• Complete regular engineering & PPM audits and follow up actions to maintain the facilities

• Degree Qualified Mechanical/Process/Chemical Engineer (pref. Chartered)
• Extensive knowledge and experience (10+ Years) of key terminal integrity, inspection & technical discipline engineering systems & processes
• Detailed knowledge of oil/chemical industry with storage tanks and pipelines
• Knowledge & application of UK legislation and regulatory requirements - COMAH / PSLG / CDM / PED/ PSSR / CDOIF and EI codes
• Knowledge of relevant US/UK oil industry standards API and BSI
• Effective planning and project management skills
• PC literate including AutoCAD, MS Project
• Full UK Driving License
