The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Internal technical consultancy to the Exhaust delivery programmes for all Vehicle Lines / Power-trains / Markets
Ensure designs concepts are feasible and cost effective
Deliver a high quality technical leadership linkage between the Core Exhaust Delivery Team and the Advanced Product Creation (APC) group
Work with the APC team to ensure the technical integrity of a clean and progressive handover into the Core Delivery Team

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Able to demonstrate proven capability in project management and understand the importance of milestone gateways
A motivated self-starter and able to work with a minimum of supervision
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to confidently communicate and negotiate at varying levels within a business Competent user of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Understanding of CAD processes and environments, with the ability to effectively communicate design requirements to CAD users
Ability to write effective test reports and generate new procedures

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to understand, interpret and summarise CAE methods as applied to exhaust systems
Fully competent in BS 8888, or ASME 14.5 GD&T A competent understanding of welding processes and weld quality inspection methods & metrics
Extensive experience of manipulation and forming methods applicable to exhaust systems Experience of buying production tooling, relevant to exhausts.
