- Saudi Aramco is seeking an Engineering Specialist with extensive experience in distillation and fractionation to join a highly technical group that supports Saudi Aramco refineries in the in the Process & Control System Department’s Downstream Process Engineering Division, based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will play a leading role in providing technical services and process expertise related to refinery distillation and fractionation processes.
- Provide innovative solutions to problems in refinery distillations and fractionation units,
- Perform process design.
- Conduct feasibility and optimization studies.
- Evaluate the application of new technologies and best practices,
- Define the scope for hardware modifications and participate in vendor selection.
- Support capital programs at different stages from inception to project completion; such as participating in screening studies, development of design basis document, reviewing PFD, P&IDs, FEED, project specifications, detailed engineering documents and providing technical support during construction and commissioning activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must have the following experience, competencies and skillsets:
- A B.S. degree in chemical engineering, or other advanced professional engineering degree is highly desirable.
- A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or registration would be highly desirable.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in design and operation of the distillation and fractionation process (crude & vacuum distillation and other refinery fractionation units).
- Have sufficient experience to support and troubleshoot refinery distillation and fractionation units, review and scope new capital projects. And participate in project commissioning.
- Expertise in column internal retrofits and familiarity with industry practices, standards and procedures.
- Be conversant with the use of process simulation software such as HYSYS/PRO II.
- Good command of English written and oral communications.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring young and inexperienced engineers.
