Our client is one of the world's largest energy companies, and has been an operator in the North Sea for over 40 years

The Role:
To manage the engineering delivery and technical integrity of the new facilities and associated modifications to the existing facilities forming the Kinneill Enhanced Gas Separation Project.


• Provide leadership and project management expertise to the engineering team to deliver high standards of HSSE, integrity, ISD (Inherently Safer Design) and quality engineering. Ensuring that the requirements and expectations of the Operating Management System (OMS) and Integrity Management Standard are fully addressed.
• Manage the technical and quality delivery of the project scope in accordance with the Statement of Requirements and Basis of Design.
• Resolve technical queries and ensure compliance with the Integrity Management Standard. To include application and control of appropriate Engineering Technical Practices.
• Ensure that Engineering Technical Practices (ETP) requirements are incorporated into the facilities design, through managing the preparation, review and approval of engineering deliverables. Ensure that process safety reviews, HAZOP’s, peer reviews, value improving practices, project benchmarking, etc., and are performed at the appropriate points in the project schedule. Act as the project focal point for ETP or specification deviations and liaise with the RPT Engineering Manager / Lead Engineers and RPU Technical Authorities / Engineering Authority to obtain the necessary approvals.
• Ensure that the requirements of the project Design Hazard Management Plan and Engineering Interface document are fully met.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Chartered Engineer (BSc. in Engineering or a related field) or equivalent education / experience

• Track record of engineering competency and delivery in Downstream Oil & Gas environment and able to demonstrate effective project management and leadership skills.
• Proven track record in setting expectations and delivering high standards of HSSE performance.
• Experience with stage gate project management processes and engineering technical practices.
• Experience of supervising work in a Engineering Contractor’s Design Office.
• Experience of field engineering on a large construction site.
