The Role:
For our Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Department located in our office in Den Helder we are seeking to recruit a candidate for the fulltime position of Environment Advisor

Main duties

Contributing to the preparation of the annual HSEQ-department plan by anticipating on relevant legislation, business developments and company-objectives and translating these into action plans and new projects;
Analyzing, mapping and/or calculating possible environmental consequences of company projects, plans and initiatives;
Translating national and international legislation and business requirements in potential environmental targets or objectives in the field;
Providing overview of the extent to which environmental concerns in the organization has been implemented and the extent to which the organization complies with the applicable environmental laws and regulations;
Formulating action plans measured to eliminate environmental risks;
Supporting the management in preparation, execution and monitoring of Environmental projects, plans and/or initiatives and its support within the organization. Understanding the need for supporting the operating environment;
Giving solicited and unsolicited advice on the implementation of measures in the field of environmental care and environmental care systems;
Playing an integral part in the further development, maintenance and implementation of the current Health and Safety policy by making and explaining proposals, ensuring commitment and promoting formal adoption.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A professional service minded attitude towards work. Flexible, hands-on problem solver with a pro-active approach;
A Bachelor’s degree Safety Engineering with a minimum of 5 years relevant working-experience;
Good knowledge of occupational health is a must, having experience in E&P business is seen as an advantage;
The ability to work in a team as well as independently;
Working knowledge of Dutch and English is essential in both written and verbal skills. Must be familiar with Dutch Health & Safety regulations;
As duties are also on offshore facilities, the willingness and ability to work offshore.
