The Company:
A Major Operator

The Role:
Supports the environmental performance of the Houston-based LNG Plant HES Team with the following key responsibilities
Assure environmental and regulatory compliance within the engineering design of the LNG plant and Industrial Site
Support the LNG Plant permitting team; engage internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the LNG Plant HES Team; and, provide general support to the Execution and Operations Teams. Provide effective safety and environmental protection leadership throughout all aspects of the performance of the assigned responsibilities; role model IIF/IFO behaviours with a demonstrated commitment to the CARE program.
Lead and coordinate Owner’s Team reviews of Contractor’s (JFJV) engineering design from an environmental and regulatory perspective by implementing the Environmental Basis of Design and other regulatory/legislative documents.
Maintain direct liaison with Contractor Environmental Team to provide guidance and assure alignment with Company policies and standards relative to OE (Environmental Stewardship), project permits including applicable commitments in permit applications and conditions within each permit approval, and commercial agreements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Science or Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years relevant, practical working experience in environmental stewardship, compliance and design and understanding of environmental management of facilities design, systems and operations.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high priority tasks concurrently.
Ability to work in high pressure environment while meeting tight strategic milestones. - Strong organisational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Practical working knowledge of relevant Federal (Canada) and Provincial (British Columbia) environmental legislation. - Working experience on a major capital project with direct interface with EPC desirable.
Commitment to support an IIF/IFO culture. The company's 'OE and CSOC familiarity desirable.

Provide Technical environmental interface for LNG Plant HES Team with the Engineering Team supporting technical design, start-up and commissioning and operational planning. Consistently liaise with the Environmental Advisors in Yokohama, Japan and Calgary, Canada.
