The Company:
A major Oil and Gas operator for a Norwegian Offshore project.
Location: Paris estimated until August 2015, and then mobilization to Korea.

The Role:
We are looking for a Working Environment Specialist who applies knowledge of the physical and psychological strengths and limitations of people to reduce risk of occupational injury or illness and human errors. It includes management and assessment of the working environment in all phases of a development project pursuant to requirements in NORSOK S-002 and other relevant standards, and includes access and materials handling, ergonomics, noise, chemicals, work safety/accidents, control room design/integrated operations (HF, CRIOP), lighting and work in cold climates, development of management systems and assessment of compliance with applicable statutes, rules and standards.
The work is wide ranging but typically involves design reviews, interface design, and task analysis and follow up of working environment in construction phase later on. The position is an integral part of the Technical Safety design team.

- Provide authoritative professional advice on working environment to the company design team.
- Follow up contractors’ deliverables and applicability of relevant Norwegian regulations.
- Carry out/assist in the preparation of working environment plans
- Provide experience transfer
- Ensure proper WE -documentation (WEAC) are established
- Carry out/assist in the development of specific analyses (materials handling, psychosocial working environment, noise, chemicals, lighting, control room, integrated operations)
- Participate in 3D reviews and other design activities
- Carry out/assist in WE-inspections during construction and completion of vendor packages and areas/modules at yard.

Reports to: Lead Working Environment & Technical Safety

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Qualified to degree level in working environment discipline (e.g. occupational hygiene, ergonomics, human factors, working environment engineering)
- Knowledge and experience with NCS applicable working environment regulations and referred standards (NORSOK S-002)
- Knowledgeable in a range of working environment principles, techniques and methods, ideally coupled with experience.
- The ability to organize and undertake several complex tasks concurrently with minimum supervision.
- Excellent communication and presentational skills, both written and oral including the ability to produce ad hoc and standard reports.
- The ability to liaise/communicate with staff at various levels across the organization to reach agreement on working environment standards and the application of national and industry good practice.
- Basic computer package user experience, including Word and Excel.
- Experience as WE-professional in field operation and experience from follow up of implementation
