The Role:
General Description of Responsibilities;
• Advise and coordinate project plans to include: Environmental Management Waste Management, environmental permitting, and ESHIA for Project. Project wide coordination of these activities and compliance with local content and Company’s best practice are key job responsibilities. The Environmental Engineer should have the experience necessary to provide general environment project support with regards to air, land, water and waste issues. Project management and technical writing skills are beneficial.
Primary Responsibilities;
• Attend team meetings and provide environmental engineering support and professional guidance to project team in all aspects of HES management, risk assessment and technical/ design.
• Coordinator and implements all work associated with ESHIA Management Plan preparation, and oversees implementation all ESHIA-required compliance monitoring.
• Provides quality control for HES work products delivered by environmental consultants and construction contractors.
• Ensures all HES related contractual obligations are met in a timely manner, accepts the work, and provides input to work breakdown structure (WBS), schedules, and payment process.
• Interfaces with governmental agencies (as required) and other stakeholders regarding environmental permitting issues (EIA, waste, dredging).
• Prepares the project Environmental Management Plan for Phase 4.
• Oversees construction of the treatment wetlands, and the waste water treatment facilities on site.
• Responsible for maintaining Regulatory Compendiums and Project’s Environmental Permits Register.
• Prepares, executes and maintains a detailed Permitting Plan for engaging all agencies and obtaining all permits necessary for project approval.
• Responsible for ensuring the preparation of technical support documentation necessary for various permits is performed by engineering and construction contractors.
• Responsible for managing consultants to complete and implement the following plans and projects:
o Land Management Plan
o Biodiversity Action Plan
o Alien Invasive Species Management Plan
o Topsoil Management Plan
o Dredged Material Management Plan
o Waste Management Plan
o Manages the development and implementation of the project’s Geographic Information System database. Incorporates the results of the EIA compliance monitoring into the database and uses this tool to assist in regulatory reporting.
o Submits the Wildlife at Work application.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualification & Experience Required:
• Applicant should have a minimum of 10 years practicing as an HES Professional.
• Experience with both Company and Construction project considered a plus.
• A degree in engineering or physical science is required.
• The ability to clearly communicate (both spoken and written) in both English and Thai important.
