The Role:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain the implementation, adequacy and effectiveness of the environmental management systems.
• To monitor and verify the implementation of suitable corrective and preventive action.
• To interface and communicate with all departments and projects sites to develop and maintain the environmental management system.
• Review and recommend amendments to company and project environmental management system documents.
• Advise senior management staff on contractual and legal environmental requirement relative to the projects.
• To provide general counsel, guidance, training, education and direction to the job site safety personnel and employees.
• To coordinate, review and report any feedback from clients, with a view for prevention non-conformances and the general improvement of organization, practices and procedures.
• To schedule and conduct the environmental internal audit.
• To perform individual assignments assigned by the HOD may direct from time to time.
• To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the company

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably to be registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH and posses a valid Green Book or NEBOSH certificate holder.
• Minimum ten (10) years practical experience relevant to the works, preferably in railway/metro projects.
• Excellent knowledge and experienced in OHSAS 18001 and/or MS 1722 Management Systems requirements.
• Good technical knowledge in safety and health.
• Well versed with safety and health legislative requirements.
• Excellent leadership, auditing, inter-personal, communication, presentation and analytical skills.
• Able to communicate with all levels in the organization.
• Well versed in working with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Power Point.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Melayu languages (written and oral).
• Self-motivated, can work independently with minimum supervision.

• Proven skill in leading a team of operational and technical support
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with clients, consultants and authorities to effectively meet target/objective
• Analytical, meticulous and performance driven, highly motivated, energetic and able to adapt affectively to new work environment, situation change and deadlines.
